Oakleaf Marquees was born because of a wedding - our director Tim's wedding in 2010. Since late 2010 we have been involved in over 1000 weddings of all sizes, styles and seasons. We are wedding specialists and believe that a marquee or tipi provides the very best wedding experience you can get for a number of reasons. 

To start, you can have your wedding at home or another location that touches your soul. Farm fields, woodlands, by the sea, hilltops, attached to buildings and barns - we've conquered them all. Secondly, the party ends when you want it to end, not when the overbearing venue owner/manager tells you it's closing time.

Your day, your way

​You can decorate your marquee or tipi in any way you wish and you have full control over flooring, lighting, table, chair and dance floor styles. The layout is also entirely up to you: round or long tables, where the dance floor and bar are positioned, which way the windows face, whether you have a lounge area etc.

Many couples ask how much a wedding marquee or tipi set up is. This is difficult to answer because there are so many options but as a guide we can say a marquee with all the 'standard' options (flooring, lighting, tables, chairs, dance floor and catering tent) for 100 guests would be around £3000. Tipis would be roughly £1000 more. If you need power (generator) and luxury loos it would be another £1200. Wooden flooring, new carpet, outside seating/lighting and so on are all extras. We would be delighted to send you a full option and price list. 

The only limiting factor is imagination

Another question we get asked regularly is when we install and remove marquees. Unless your venue requests otherwise, we always install on Wednesdays and Thursdays and remove on Mondays and Tuesdays. You will always have one complete day at least to decorate and another complete day to tidy and remove your decorations. 

Beautiful outdoor ceremony locations

For many couples, having the ceremony in the same location as the reception is very welcome. It gives you more time with those you love by cutting down the travel and you can exchange your vows in a location which really means something to you. We have a variety of structures which are perfect for outdoor ceremonies. We have many types of chairs and wooden benches, or you're welcome to get creative with hay bales or something more individual.

The layout of your marquee or tipi is entirely up to you which is one of the big advantages of a marquee wedding. We will happily advise and create some options for you but here are some popular layouts to give an idea.
